Cattle

The barn doors open Thursday April 1 to prime examples of Western Canada beef cattle. It is our hope that we will have approximately 100 head of beef cattle for our competitions at the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair. The beef breeds that will be represented at our show include: Angus, Charolais, Hereford, Gelbvieh, Shorthorn, Simmental, Limousin, and Commercial Cattle.

The classes that the exhibitors will be competing in include:

  • Prospect Steer Show
  • Market Steer Show
  • Klondike Showmanship
  • All Breeds Heifer Show
  • Royal Lady Jackpot Heifer Show
  • Entry deadlines are February 17, 2010.

The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair Cattle Show is primarily a junior show that gives young beef producers an opportunity to network with fellow producers and industry professionals.

We are proud to be able to facilitate a learning environment for these young breeders that are the future of our important cattle industry.

Cattle need to be in the barns on Wednesday, March 30th by 10AM.
