Scrambles

The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair once again will be hosting four exciting and exhilarating evenings of scramble fun.

The week starts out on Monday evening; ten rambunctious calves and 20 aggressive teenagers are let loose in the main arena for the P. Quintaine and Son Calf Scramble. It is a hotly contested battle to see who will catch a calf. When all is said and done there will be ten calves that have been dragged across the finish line by the most persistent contestants.

Tuesday evening offers the Canexus Calf Scramble, ten different calves and 20 different teenagers will repeat the previous night's activities.

Wednesday April 1st presents a new dimension to the scrambles. Rather than ten calves, there will be ten weanling pigs and 20 eight and nine year old kids scrambling around the arena in the Behlen Industries Miss Piggy Scramble. The school aged children are required to place a band around their little pig's neck. Not an easy feat with wriggly little pigs.

Thursday Evening April 2nd the Star FM/CKLQ Pig Scramble is open to 10 to 12 year old kids. The ten weanling pigs will once again be brought into the main arena to scramble with the 20 competitors who will again be required to place a band around the little pigs' necks.
