Do you want to learn how to speak horse? At 2:30PM in the Westoba Agricultural Centre Show Ring Neil McLeod will be teaching a “Natural Horsemanship” Clinic on the low stress methods of understanding your horse that make training easier. Then at 4:30PM he’ll also be offering a “Test Ride A Quarter Horse” opportunity for those who may never have ridden.

At 3:30PM in the Westoba Agricultural Centre of Excellence Show Ring, "Learn to Drive a Heavy Horse Team" with the Percheron/Belgian Club. Try your hand at learning to drive a heavy horse team, by using the equipment that the "real" drivers learn with. Then at 5:00PM members of the Clydesdale Club are teaching "Heavy Horse Beauty School”. Sit in on a lesson in beautifying a heavy horse for the show ring. You might even have a chance to braid the mane of one of these gentle giants.

"Saddle Up" with the Manitoba Pony Club at 4:00PM in the Westoba Agricultural Centre Show Ring. Learn how to dress a Show Jumper Pony. The clinic will demonstrate equipment and give insights as to what happens behind the scenes at a horse show! This experience provides a unique opportunity to participate in getting a horse ready to compete and to learn from an experienced rider. Sponsored by the Sunrise Credit Union.

At 4:00PM in the Westoba Agricultural Centre it’s "All About the Hackneys" with Fred Gilbert and Mitchell Eastley. Participants will have an up-close encounter with hackney ponies, affectionately known as the "aristocrats of the show ring". You'll see how these high spirited animals are trained and prepared to show...and get a whole new understanding of the classes where they compete.

4:00PM "Ridin' and Ropin" for the kids with MB High School Rodeo Assoc.
The little ones can participate in their own rodeo. First they'll "create" their own stick horses, and then they'll compete in rodeo events like pole bending and roping! Some miniature horses will be on hand...just the right size for miniature people!
From 4:00 – 6:00PM there will be Wagon Rides outdoors on Keystone Centre Grounds parking area leaving from the North side of the ramp on the East side of the building. A horse drawn wagon will be on the grounds and will provide rides to fair guests who want to travel with true "horse power"!
